Message from Mayor and Council

ATTENTION BRIELLE RESIDENTS

            Recently, person or persons unknown painted a blue line at various locations throughout the Borough. The obvious intent was to demonstrate support for our Police Department.

            The Governing Body is in complete accord with the sentiment expressed. However, such an undertaking, without the authorization of Mayor & Council, is a violation of law and cannot be permitted.

            In addition there are certain ramifications regarding New Jersey Department of Transportation regulations that must be considered.  So, while we appreciate the show of support for our Police, we must remove the blue lines.

            The Public should be aware that, the blue line that had been painted on Union Lane as an approved Eagle Scout Project, shall be restored in the coming weeks.
