Service Line Inventory Report

LEAD ADVISORY:

Brielle Residents should be aware that, while the Borough has completed the state mandated inventory of municipal water lines, and while there are no know lead lines in existence at this time, the possibility remains that lead exists in a domestic service line. This means that, while there may not be lead in the municipal water line that delivers potable water to your individual curb stop, lead could exist in the internal plumbing of the home or office.  The probability of lead is increased by the age of the home.  Older homes may have plumbing that pre-dates the ban on the use of lead in pipes or fittings.
